OUR BURGER RECIPE

PREP TIME- 1 Hour and 10 MINS

COOKING TIME - 10 Mins

SERVES - 4

 INGREDIENTS

  • 75g onions very finely chopped

  • 500 g Manor Farm minced beef

  • 2 tablespoons djon mustard

  • 1 garlic clove crushed

  • 1 egg

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper

  • 100g white breadcrumbs

  • a little olive oil

 

HOW WE MAKE IT

  • STEP 1

    Put the mince, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, mustard, egg, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well.

  • STEP 2

    Using your hands, shape onto burgers and place onto a slightly oiled tray.

  • STEP 5

    Either grill, oven roast or griddle / panfry the beef burgers until cooked through.

  • STEP 6

    Serve in a toasted brioche bap with a green salad and chunky chips.

OUR TOP TIPS

We love our burgers topped with slices of cheese popped under the grill for a a minute once cooked, then loaded with slices of avocado and bacon and mayonnaise!

Beef Curry

PREP TIME- 25 minutes

COOKING TIME - 1 - 1.5 hours

SERVES - 4

 INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large onions finely chopped

  • 750 g / 1.5lb Manor Farm braising steak

  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1 x 50g / 2oz piece root ginger peeled and chopped

  • 2 tablespoons ground coriander

  • 1 teaspoon round cardamom

  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 120ml olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 400g can chopped tomatoes

 

HOW WE MAKE IT

  • STEP 1

    Place the beef in am ovenproof casserole dish.

  • STEP 2

    Mix together all the remaining ingredients in a bowl and stir well.

  • STEP 3

    Pour the mixture evenly over the meat.

  • STEP 4

    Cover and bake for 1-1.5 hours stirring once or twice during cooking time.

  • STEP 5

    Serve with white fluffy basmati rice and poppadum’s

The animal is broken down into what are called primal cuts, the main areas of the animal which include the Loin, Rib, Round, Flank, Chuck, Sirloin, Brisket and more. These primal cuts are then broken down into sub-primal cuts, for example, rib eye, fillet, sirlion and rump.
